Khao Yai national park is located in the south-western part of the Sankamphaeng mountain range, Thailand. This national park is the third largest in Thailand, with a total area of 2.168 square kilometre. It's only three hours away from the Bangkok.In 2005 it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the larger Dong Phaya Yen–Khao Yai Forest Complex.

Tourism
Khao Yai National Park is a very popular destination for tourists. During the holiday and weekends, this park is visited by both foreign and domestic tourists. The main entrance is located in the north-west, near the city Pak Chong, and the second entrance is at south in Nakhon Nayok province. he entrance fee is 400 THB for adults and 200 THB for children (Thai Baht, 1$ - 33,40 THB). It is possible to explore the park by own car or motorcycle/scooter.
Khao Yai is one of most popular destination for bikers in Thailand,
frequently seen on the roads, quite often in groups. Public transport services within the park do not exist.

Palio Village - Palio is a shopping center, 220km north-east of Bangkok. The idea is to present the village as a traditional village from Tuscany. In this village visitors can enjoy in live entertainment, shopping souvenirs clothes and snacks.

PB Valley (Khao Yai Winery)
If you are a wine lover, you should definitely visit Khao Yai Winery. Is located in this area since 1989. In the information center you can schedule a tour of the winery, where you will enjoy the excellent wine and gourmets.
Hobbit’s house
Just like in Hobbiton, the round-door home peeks out from under the
earth — conveniently keeping it cool in the summer and warm in winter. The home is located two hours from Bangkok and 30 minutes from the Khao
Yai National Park, the third-largest national park in Thailand.

Waterfalls
Khao Yai has many waterfalls, most of them easily accessible by car
combined with a short trail, some needs longer hiking with guide
assistance.
Khao Luk Chang Bat Cave
According some sources a million, according others up to 3 million
wrinkled-lipped bats lives in this cave. During the sunset a long cloud
of bats can be seen out from the cave for hours, creating a spectacular
view. Some birds of pray are regularly seen feeding on bats by diving
into the cloud.It is located 4.5km out from the north gate of the national park. See
the marker on the map for the location of a trail leading to the cave.
Yod Khao Kiew, Mountain
With 1292 m, it is the highest elevation in Nakhon Nayok Province. It is
situated approximately 11 km from the visitor center, accessible by
vehicle/scooter all way to the top. There are three good view points
and several short trails along the road and at the top. The area around
mountain is rich of wildlife, specially birds. Elephants are seen in the
area regularly.
Flora and fauna
More than 80% of the park is covered with tropical rain forest, evergreen forest, mixed deciduous forest and pastures. This national park is rich in diverse flora (about 2,000 species). Khao Yai National Park is also rich with many animals species (46 species of mammal and 74 species of reptiles). Some common mammals include elephants, bears, gaurs, barking deer, otters, gibbons and macaques.
There haven't been any sign of tiger activity in the park for a while,
but camera traps has revealed a significant tiger population in neighborly Thap Lan and Pang Sida National Park. The park has only one
crocodile in the national park and it can be seen on same location
along the one of trails. According guides operating in the park, the
crocodile was released to the park by the park rangers.
